This picture was taken the day of the bombing on Japan. Japan refused to surrender so the US decided to the bomb them again this bomb was dropped on Nagasaki three days later.

This audio video demonstrates that President Truman decided to let every fellow American know that the only way to make peace with Japan was for them to surrender. Japan did not give in so Truman had made a request to bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The Manhattan project was a project about scientist trying to create the Atomic Bomb to drop before Hitler could create it. The Manhattan project was successful and we did beat Hitler to making the first atomic bomb. Since the Allied forces created this they were the ones with the most power in the world. This project was top secret and no others knew about it.

This video shows the bomb on Hiroshima was dropped and had a massive impact on the city. The bombs explosion reacted and was sent up 600 meters above the city. It was filled with 60 kg with uranium 235 killing about 80,000 people. Just the first bomb dropping destroyed about 70 percent of the entire city.

This video shows how the US had gotten news that the Japs had surrendered. People had left work just to celebrate the victory against Japan. They concluded that peace was wonderful.
